Wednesday Weigh In (a day early)
Went to my WW meeting this morning. I don't know about other WW people out there, but I feel weird at the meetings. I know that it is a lifestyle change and the only way to be successful is to totally embrace it as a way of life, but some people are just freaks about it. The leader was talking about visualizing scenerios ahead of time so that you don't eat things you shouldn't eat. She was going on and on about going to a confirmation where she knew there would be brownies and strawberries and that she actually imagined while at home eating the strawberries. Is it just me or is this bizarre? Freaked me out a little.
But anyway...as of today I am down
13 pounds!
I still have a long way to go and I HAVE to add exercise to my plan if I am going to be successful. I just have to find the time. But I know that not having time is an excuse. I was talking to a co-worker and he suggested that I start walking and aim for a 5 K. There are a bunch of them around here and plenty of places to walk if I make the time to do it. So, maybe that will be something that I look into doing. I am planning on doing my Walk Away The Pounds DVD tongiht unless something comes up.

Did You Miss Me?
Again, sorry for the absence. I probably have no one reading me now but that can't be helped. Hell has broken open and swallowed me up in grant writing and management hell. I (we) were awarded 2 new grants (yippee) and then I also got assigned 4 new grants due in two weeks. oh.the.joy! So I have been typing and researching my little fingers to the bone. But blogging about grant writing is boring so...
We have been camping fools the last two weekends too. June 1-3 we were at Kings Mountain State Park with SIL#1 and her family. It was a good time. Hot and dusty but fun, until it started raining Saruday at 6 pm and didn't stop until Sunday night. So we got to experience camping in the mud. Fun! NOT! Here are a few pics of the kiddos pre-rain:
Here is Wildman playing in the dirt. He was covered from head to toe.
And here is Drama Queen all sweaty and dirty, and as happy as a pig in mud.
We also went to see Trace Adkins in Cherokee. All I can say...yummmmeee!!!
Last weekend we camped again with SIL#1 (it was her birthday), but this time we were at Lake Wateree State Park. So far this is our favorite campground. The sites are all paved and huge. You can swing in the lake and the tackle store is the schiznit! I can't sait to go back Labor Day Weekend. Anyone want to join us?
Here is the site from the road. That's 60 feet people!
This is Lake Wateree from the boat dock. To the left was a swimming area. The water was wonderful!
Our little home away from home.
Needless to say, I am tired and ready to stay home for a few weekends. But at the end of the month we are doing it all over again at Myrtle Beach baby!
