Here is the cake that I made AM for his big 35! I tried to make it look just like him...but that is a difficult task. But it sure was good. Butter Pecan Cake with Butter/Nut Buttercream Icing.

I have two cake orders for next Saturday (yikes) ! One is a smash cake soccer ball for a 2nd birthday and the other is a Mickey Mouse Sheet cake. I'll post pics when they are finished. At least I am making a little bit o'money doing this now. Every little bit helps.

Or should I say days.....

Sorry no post last week. To be honest, lately I am of the decree that I would rather not say anything at all then blog about random boring stuff that no one cares about anyway.

This weekend was an interesting one. On my side of the family, there are 3 birthdays that fall between August 23rd and August 26th. Yes, 3! My Aunt D, my cousin A, and my Pa-paw. Also, AM's sister's birthday is also the 25th. I smell dilemma here! Since it was my cousin A's 16th birthday I volunteered to make her a cake. I think it turned out pretty well. ( I will post pictures tomorrow). Well, there was a small gathering for my family's birthdays and my SIL's all on the same day at the same time. We decided that since there were 3 birthdays to the one and I was bringing the cake that we would go to my cousin's this year. We had a good time. Ate monster hamburgers and had cake. It was good :)

We then dropped the kids off at the SIL's. She wanted to keep them overnight. Fine with me! Se at 9 pm we dropped them off, hung out a little bit and went home. I crashed soon after....and slept until 10 am! WHOO WEE!! I haven't gotten to do that in a LONG time. I did manage to accomplish washing 3 loads of clothes, but other than that I laid around the house and did nothing but watch movies and nap. I love the movie The Notebook. I have seen it several times, and I still don't get bored. Ryan Gosling is a hottie! The kids came home in time for supper, then it was off to bed. I watched Big Brother (Amber needs to go..now!) and the Two Coreys and went to bed.

In other news....Wildman has been diddy (pacifier) free for one week. Last Friday night I asked him to take it out of his mouth so that I could understand what he was saying. He said he was going to throw it in the trash. I told him ok, and the rest is history. He still cried for it for a few minutes at nap time and bedtime, but after he is asleep I don't hear another peep from him the rest of the night. My little man loves his sleep :)

Now if I can just get my dughter to go #2 on the potty again we will be in business!
