As most of you know, I work for a local police department. Before starting in my current position, I worked in the Community Services Division where our main focus was children. Many times we were asked for information on how to protect children from online predators. And this was before the invention of sites such as www.myspace.com . Prior to having children, I felt that the internet was a dangerous thing, but now that I have my own it terrifies me.

We will not be allowing our children to be on the internet in their own rooms. We have a computer in the kitchen where we can see what they are doing.
