Could This Day Get Any Worse?
:yikes:
Last night DQ decided it was a good night to wake up every hour. On.The.Hour. I kid you not she was awake at 9:30 pm, 10:30 pm, 11:30 pm, 12:30 am, and 2:00 am. After I threatened to spank her silly she finally went to sleep. To be awaken at 6 am to me yelling at the dog.

Please say a prayer for my little puppy today.
At approximately 6:30 am this morning, Max ingested about a palm size amount of mouse poisoning that was left behind the couch. I was making breakfast and he snuck behind there. When I noticed he had disappeared I called him and I could hear him behind the couch and I heard his collar hit the mason jar lid. I knew right away what had happened. :( I had forgotten it was back there and also thought that I had made it so that he couldn't get back there.
I called my husband and then poison control. They told me to give him peroxide to make him throw up. It worked and he threw up several times and there were a palmfull of undigested pellets that came backup. After the vets opened, took him up there and they gave him a syringe full of activated charcoal and a prescription for Vitamin K which he has to take for the next 6 weeks as a precautionary measure.
The vet said that if it got into him system that he would start to show symptoms Saturday or Sunday. I have to bring him back in Monday morning for lab work.
I am so worried about him right now. He drives me crazy, but he is my little furbaby and I don't know what I would do without him.

Just checking in - how is your puppy?? How are you doing?
Haven't seen anything from you in my feed reader for ages so thought I would pay you a visit and say hi. Good grief I hope things went well for your puppy and it was caught in time :o(
How is the puppy?! I hope all turned out okay - isn't it funny how our pets are also our children?!
The little snot is just fine! He was back to his usual self by the next day. Needless to say I have removed all things from the floor that he can get into. What a brat! :)
