You've Got The Right Stuff (Baby)~ Lots of pics!
Love the way you turn me on....
My MIL picked me up and we rode the Lynx Train downtown to meet my SIL and some long lost friends for dinner. We met J so that I could give her her ticket before she had to go back to work (she would meet up with us after she got off work) and we had planned on eating at Rock Bottom, but it was too busy so we went across the street and had dinner and a few beverages and The Fox and the Hound. It was a blast from the past in more ways than one. I hadn't seen B and L since graduation and J since shortly after I had DQ. I have to say they looked great! I hope that we can keep in touch and see each other a lot more than once every 15 years.
We all caught up on the latest gossip and were on our way to the Bobcats Arena for the show. B & J didn't have seats with us, so we said our goodbyes and went to find our seats. We were seated in the back on the floor. The seats were decent enough and I was able to get some really good pictures.
They sang all of their hits from "back in the day" and a lot off their new album. And for men who are pushing 40 and haven't toured together in a long time, they sounded amazing and played for forever. Just their part of the concert lasted almost 2 hours (non-stop). But that wasn't the best part...
When we sat down we were right next to the sound guys and saw this big black thing but didn't think alot about it. About halfway through the show, all of the girls behind us ( about 4 rows) disappeared. It took a few seconds for us to figure out that they were now standing near the black thing that was a piano! Weeeee! I knew that Jordan and Joey played so I figured that one of them would be coming back there to play. So we rushed over there just in time to for ALL of them to come up on the mini-stage. We were literally maybe 5 feet from them! I don't think I have screamed like that since I was 13. Looking back I bet we all looked like idiots but we didn't care. I know that I didn't and would do it again if given the chance.
Words can not express just how good the New Kids On the Block Concert was. I was totally in love with them as a young teen (12-13) and I think I am in love again. This is the third time that I have seen them in concert, and it was just as awesome as it was 15 years ago. Maybe even better.
I don't remember Jordan getting half naked last time.
